WHAT IS LOCALMIND?
Localmind allows you to ask questions of people checked-in at a location, thus giving you the ability to know what's happening at this very moment at any place you care about. Find out how crowded the bar is, what specials at the restaurant are, or whether the coffee shop's wifi is up. Mobile real-time omniscience at your fingertips.
Robert Scoble: "I've seen a TON of different location-based apps in the past two weeks. But today I was introduced to one that actually is useful AT SXSW: Localmind."
Actual User: "I felt that I was using a control panel for the world. Like I had a robot doing my bidding. The coolest feeling that I've never had before."
Actual User: "It's been a dream of mine to have something like this"
HOW DOES LOCALMIND WORK?
Localmind allows you to send a question to someone that is checked-in (through Foursquare and Facebook Places) at any location you care about. Users receive the question to their mobile phone and answer in real-time. Send any question you want (e.g. is the wifi up, is the place open, is it suitable for kids) to any place you want (e.g. the bar down the block, the theater across town, the conference across the country).
ASK QUESTIONS
Send a question to any place in the world through the Android app, the iPhone app, the iPad app, or the web interface.

IMPRESS YOUR FRIENDS
Each time you answer a question, or check-in, or do anything that proves your knowledge about a place, you earn karma points and level-up to become a Localmind Expert. Questions that other users have about that place are routed to you, allowing you to use your experience to help fellow users while solidifying your expertise and showing your friends how much you really know.
